2 Man Better Ball Fall Finale
 A birdie by Bob Hoyles on the 3 rd playoff hole gave the team of Hoyles and Joe Drake the win in the A Division of the season ending 2 Person Better Ball tournament held on Saturday. Hoyles and Drake along with Leo Loder and Scott Bishop as well as the team of Barry Stacey and Mike Russell finished the 18 hole event in a three way tie with scores of 75.
On the first playoff hole(Hole #18), Loder and Bishop bogeyed while the other two groups made par and continued the playoff on Hole #1. Stacey and Russell made par on Hole #1 while Joe Drake had a short 4 footer for birdie which he missed to the left so it was on to Hole #18 again. This time there was not doubt as Hoyles drained a 10 foot putt for the birdie.
Loder and Bishop won the A Division Low Net with a score of 63.
The team of Richard Kelly and Randy Douglas won the B Division with a score of 80 to defeat the team of Greg and Paul Farrell who shot an 83. The Farrell brothers won the B Division Low Net with a score of 64 while the team of Jeremy Cribb and Chad Antle won second Low Gross with a score of 85 and the duo of Kevin Carvery and John Bugden won second Low Net with a score of 65.

Grande Meadows Men’s Night held the finale for its most successful season to date on Saturday October 2. The Men’s Night committee pictured on the leftt and made up of Ray Walsh, Ches Cribb, John Bugden and Edmund Antle are to be congratulated for organizing which is gaining in popularity and numbers each golfing season
Thirty-two golfers turned out for the finale which began at 10:00am with a team 9 Hole Best Ball followed by 9 Hole of individual stroke play. There were prizes to be won on each hole for having longest drive, closest to the pin ,etc. At the conclusion of the golf there were several contests including putting and chipping on the practice green while there was a wedge contest on the driving range. Winners were declared in all events.

In the team category the team of Ray Walsh, Ray Warren, Deon Walsh, Gary Higgins, Ches Cribb and Walter Stapleton claimed top spot with a 9 Hole score of -7.

The winners of the individual play were Jim Farewell and Richard Kelly as well as Ches Cribb and Albert Pike. The winners of the other prizes are listed on the table below. As well there are some photos taken during the contests, closing dinner and awards presentation that followed.

Norm Croucher Award Winner
The winner of the Norm Croucher Award for Sportsmanship on Men’s Night was presented to Ivan Paul. The Award was named in memory of Norm Croucher, a big supporter of the Grande Meadows Men’s Night who passed away earlier this year. The award is voted on by the golfers and will be presented each year in memory of Norm. Paul was presented the award by Gary Higgins who was a good friend of Norm's and who was helpful in getting the award set up.
